Dilapidation & Structural Reports
a main requirement for cc approval, dilapidation reports are generally required to be carried out by a suitably qualified structural engineer.
Capital Engineering Consultants commonly conduct pre & post construction dilapidation reports for proposed construction projects. The purpose of a dilapidation report is to document the current general condition of the structures present on the adjoining properties (of a proposed construction site) and council land, as a datum to assess changes to conditions on the properties, should any changes occur, resulting from the construction activity on the subject site.
Commonly engaged, CEC also provide structural reports on/for existing structures that are appear to be unstable/ not in an adequate and compliant condition. These structural reports can be used as a reference for possible remedial works required to rectify structural damages that are found.
Please enquire if you have any questions or would to know more about reports CEC provides.
